Embassy of Cambodia to the United Kingdom
H.E. Kan Pharidh (born 1956) has served as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland since September 2020. Concurrently, he also serves as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway based in London. Before London, H.E. Kan Pharidh was the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia covering the ASEAN related affairs. He was also previously Ambassador of Cambodia to Indonesia and concurrently as the Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN from 2009-2015. H.E. Kan Pharidh joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 1982 and was posted to India (1989-1992) and Indonesia (2003-2006). Additionally, his extensive experience in political and security affairs has given him a number of senior positions in Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, including Under-Secretary of State as well as Director-General of ASEAN General Department. Academically, Ambassador Kan Pharidh graduated from the Monash University of Australia with Master Degree of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Trade (MAFAT).
