Description
Dr. Peerapat Vithayarichareon is a Principal Consultant at DNV – Energy Systems APAC region, where he leads technical and business advisory projects on electricity markets and energy transition. Prior to joining DNV, he was at the IEA where he led the analysis on the challenges and best practices in renewable integration and power system flexibility. His experience covers technical, economic, policy and regulatory disciplines with projects in many regions including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Southeast Asia where he works with a range of stakeholders, including governments, energy companies and utilities. He also spent almost ten years working at EGAT as an engineer where his work covered power system operation and planning, real-time generation dispatch, PPAs and cross-border power trade. Peerapat holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia and M.Eng in energy economics and planning
