Dr Alison Pridmore is the transport lead in the IEA’s Energy Efficiency Division, working on the Emerging Economies (E4 programme). Alison work covers the interface between buildings, cities and transport. E4 trainings and webinars consider integrated spatial and transport planning and the role that the optimisation of the urban form can play in achieving low carbon, energy efficiency improvements and other benefits. Alison provides research and analysis in relation to electric vehicle uptake and charging, including battery swapping. Prior to joining the IEA Alison was a principal consultant at Aether – an environmental consultancy. Her work included looking at the multiple benefits of energy efficiency and the consideration of electric vehicles from a life cycle perspective. Prior experience covers consultancy, academia and policy sectors, including at Ricardo and the UK’s Sustainable Development Commission. Alison has a PhD in transport which examined the role of social influence on the take up of new vehicle technologies.
