Passive demand-side measures are readily available and represent a considerable opportunity in Indonesia. GBPN has run its own building stock survey to project energy and emissions saving opportunities for buildings. In this talk we cover our emerging approach to policy support and reform for the built environment. We will cover its high level attributes and we will dig into a few aspects of our most successful project to date, in Samarinda. The government of Samarinda has made a Mayoral Decree with targets for building energy performance motivated by our work. Three other activity sites in Indonesia are following Samarinda.
