Description

Marco Schiewe is a sustainable energy and climate finance expert. Currently, he serves as a Project Director at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), delivering technical and financial assistance for energy efficiency investments in small and medium-sized companies in Brazil’s manufacturing industries, as part of the Mitigation Action Facility. Previously, Marco advised and managed projects at the European Investment Bank (EIB), Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI), and the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Brazil). His work focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy investments, capacity building, innovative financial instruments, and carbon pricing mechanisms. He holds an MSc in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich and a BA in Public Policy and Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
