Description

René is the leader of energy efficiency and low-GWP alternatives projects at the National Ozone Unit of Mexico. In addition to the Energy Efficiency Strategy to implement the Kigali Amendment in his country, he works on waste management, circular economy, and industrial reconversion projects, among other actions related to the Montreal Protocol. Previously, he has worked as a national expert in the Evaluation and Learning Exercises of the NAMAs for sustainable housing and energy efficiency in SMEs. He also carried out the update of the NDCs for the residential and commercial sectors in 2017, and worked for 5 years at the Mario Molina Center in the sustainable buildings team. He likes public policies, psychoanalysis and painting.
