Description
Flávio has a double degree in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and École Centrale de Nantes (France), as well as a Master’s in Energy Planning from the Energy Planning Program (PPE/COPPE).
Since 2015,he has been working at the Brazilian Energy Research Office (EPE). During this period, he has worked on various topics related to Energy Economics, Energy Resource Analysis, and Energy Planning. The most noteworthy include:
• Wind Power Analysis;
• Techno-economic analysis of electric buses;
• Energy Efficiency projects, such as Cost-Effectiveness Curves for the industrial sector and the Atlas of Energy Efficiency in Brazil;
• The Brazilian Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan (PDE);
• Energy Statistics, with a focus on the Brazilian Energy Balance and the Statistical Yearbook of Electricity;
