Description

Dr. Liliana Campos-Arriaga is Head of Project at GIZ Mexico, where she oversees the sustainable buildings portfolio. She led the implementation of the Programme for Energy Efficiency Refurbishment of Social Housing in Mexico and currently, the Programme for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB Cool) in Mexico. She was responsible for the preparation of a new flagship project for Supporting the Just Transition in Mexico. She has 20 years of experience as a senior specialist in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the built environment, sustainable energy policies and international cooperation. She coordinated, as principal advisor, the work of the buildings and construction sector group for developing the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy in Mexico and she chairs the technical committee of habitability and cultural adequacy of the National Housing Council in Mexico. Liliana has co-authored, reviewed and authored several international reports on sustainable construction, resource efficiency and urban development. She has implemented projects for multilateral banks and international cooperation agencies: KfW, Danish Energy Agency, IDB, GIZ and World Bank advising the governments of Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, Colombia, Panamá and Guatemala on sustainable social housing, updating regulatory frameworks for sustainable construction, climate targets and financing sustainable energy technologies. Liliana is a mentor at the Global Women’s Network for Energy Transition (GWNET), supporting young woman’s career in the energy sector.
