Description
Ms. Kerstin Deller heads sub-department IIA "General Issues of Efficiency, Heat and Hydrogen" in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMKW).
From 2010 to 2022 she headed various units in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Ministry for the Environment with responsibilities for heating and cooling, district heating, energy efficiency and research and development in the field of renewable energies.
From 2002 to 2010, Ms. Deller coordinated and negotiated various EU dossiers, particularly climate and energy-related, and was part of the negotiation team for the international climate negotiations for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
Ms. Deller studied political science and economics in Freiburg, Paris and Washington. She was a research associate and lecturer at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy and at the Institute for International Relations at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
