Description
Ms. Annalidia Pansini has dedicated more than 20 years to the area of environmental protection, energy, and climate change mainly within the Italian Public institutions both at national, local, and international levels. Since 2000, she has been working as an adviser in the Italian Ministry for the Environment. She has been engaged in international negotiations relating to the UN Convention on Climate Change, G8, OECD, UNEP Governing council, Major Economies Forum, Union for the Mediterranean, Barcelona Convention, as well as bilateral cooperation agreements with the governments of Algeria, Brazil, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Serbia, Montenegro, Morocco, Tunisia.
From 2004 to 2014 Annalidia has coordinated the Mediterranean Task Force of the Italian Ministry for the Environment responsible for bilateral and multilateral environmental cooperation initiatives and the management of projects on sustainable development, renewable energy, and climate change in the Middle East and North Africa region. In 2012 she has been appointed policy advisor of the Italian Minister of the Environment working on the “Environmental Footprint Initiative” an intensive program on the carbon management and carbon foot printing of goods/services and the promotion of low-carbon and innovative technologies in the industrial sector.
In 2014 Annalidia has been appointed policy advisor of the Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Premier Office) on the management of the institutional relations with the stakeholders of the national energy system; interventions on environmental sustainability fields; economic analysis of the Government actions on the environmental sustainability and energy issues both domestically and internationally. In 2017 Annalidia has been appointed policy advisor of the Head of Cabinet of the Italian Ministry for the Environment.
Annalidia holds a Law degree from the University of Bari (1999) and a Master in Environmental Governance from the University of Tuscia in Viterbo (2007). Until 2019 she has been a researcher at Polytechnic University of Milan. Her previous positions included a research fellowship at Harvard University in the framework of the Sustainability Science Program, an initiative focused on the design of institutions, policies, and practices that support sustainable development.
