Description
Mr David Arinze is a prominent Nigerian youth leader, acting as one of two Global Focal points for SDG7 Youth Constituency. Alongside his youth credentials, he is passionate about increasing electricity access to those deprived member of society through the deployment of off-grid energy sources. He currently works as a Program Officer for Diamond Development Initiatives (DDI): a not-for-profit development service provider and implementing partner for the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) in Nigeria. In this capacity, he has overseen the implementation of energy efficient projects (solar mini-grids, cold storage solutions, drying solutions, milling solutions, biogas rural electrification, solar homes etc.) which have collectively generated 2MW of off-grid electricity, created +10,000 direct connections and impacted +8,000 homes, +2,000 businesses and +500,000 people across sub-Saharan Africa.
