Description
Livia Miethke Morais is Senior Sustainable Energy Finance Specialist at BASE, where she is leading the implementation of the ESI Europe program since 2018 and she has recently also been supporting banks in their climate target setting and Net Zero transition. Livia is currently the chair of the IEEFP (International Energy Efficiency Financing Protocol) Committee of the EVO.
She is enthusiastic about the energy transition to tackle climate change and mobilising the financial resources through innovative business models and financing mechanisms towards it. Livia has gathered almost 15 years of international experience in the field of sustainability, having previously worked in environmental consultancy in Brazil and at the World Bank Environment and Natural Resources Department in Washington DC. She has a multidisciplinary background in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo (BRA) with a MEng. in Energy and Environmental Management in Developing Countries of the Europa Universität Flensburg (GER) and an MBA of the Bristol Business School (UK) and is based in Basel (Switzerland).
