Description
Mafalda Silva is a former IEA official with experience in methodologies for development and analysis of energy efficiency indicators. She served at the IEA as a statistics manager leading the efficiency indicators work stream, and has collaborated with several countries globally (particularly under the clean energy transitions programme) to support the development and reporting of end use data and efficiency indicators at national level.
Currently she is a Coordinator Researcher at the energy unit of INEGI – Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (Porto, Portugal). She coordinates and participates in different European, national and regional projects around energy efficiency and sustainable energy transitions, focusing on the demand-side of energy systems. She holds a PhD in sustainable energy systems, a MSc in Ecology and Territory and a BSc in Environmental Sciences.
