This module covers a wide-range of topics related to energy efficiency in buildings, placing them in the context of the transitions to net zero emissions. Starting from the fundamentals of the energy use in buildings, covering buildings design, technological solutions as well as policies and investment instruments to accelerate energy efficiency in buildings. The module is based on international best-practices and actionable recommendations, including those on how to develop a national roadmap to achieve a net-zero transition for the buildings sector. One of the special sessions will discuss the role of digitalisation in improving energy efficiency in buildings and increasing flexibility of the overall energy system.
The module will offer a mix of lectures, discussions and interactive activities for the participants.
