With over 15 years of experience in vehicle asset financing across the East Africa Region, I am deeply passionate about driving financial solutions that empower businesses and communities. My journey has been enriched by roles at esteemed leasing companies such as Vehicle and Equipment Leasing Ltd and Centum Investments Zohari Leasing Limited, where I spearheaded initiatives to accelerate leasing uptake and foster economic growth.
As a key member of BasiGo, I lead the design and execution of financial and legal frameworks, pioneering innovative eBus subscription models, and fostering strategic partnerships with local banking institutions. My goal is to revolutionize the mobility landscape in Africa through sustainable financing solutions and disruptive asset finance models.
My diverse skill set has facilitated significant accomplishments, including securing funding for transactions through debt structuring with both local and offshore lenders. I have played a pivotal role in establishing leasing subsidiaries for six entities across East Africa, driving exponential growth of the lease book from USD 100,000 to over USD 100M.
My commercial acumen has been recognized through board positions at esteemed organizations such as Home Afrika Limited, where I serve as a non-executive director on the Finance committee. Additionally, I contribute insights and expertise as a board member of Lipa Chat, an IT systems aggregator, leveraging technology to enhance financial inclusivity.
