Description

Jane Lumumba is a cities and climate resilience infrastructure expert and joins the Climate Champions Team as the Africa Delivery and Transformation Lead. Prior to joining, Jane was at KPMG International leading a work stream on net zero infrastructure and cities. Jane has extensive experience working with cities and local governments on municipal finance, climate action and localization of the SDGs. Jane brings a wealth of technical and project management experience having led numerous multi- country programs on urban development, urban climate action and urban finance. Jane is also currently undertaking a PhD in Environmental Studies at York University in Canada and her research is centered on understanding the place of the ‘African minibus ecosystem’ in the decarbonization transition.
