Energy Efficiency Policy Analyst

Description

Fabian is a Policy Analyst within the Energy Efficiency Division of the International Energy Agency (IEA). His work focuses on analysis of current worldwide trends, fossil fuel independence and projections in energy efficiency policy and technology, bringing knowledge together to give meaningful insights to policy makers, green energy enterprises and the general public. His background is in the evaluation of energy efficiency policies and energy systems modelling with a focus on the industrial sector. Prior to the IEA, Fabian worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research working in projects among others for the German government and the European Commission and the Heinrich-Böll Foundation in Brazil. Fabian holds a B.Sc. degree in International Economics from the Eberhard-Karls University of Tübingen and M.Sc. in Sustainability Economics and Management from the University of Kassel. During his studies he spent one year at the Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil.
